With the high price of gas these days, you really want to make sure your road trip is a pleasant experience and worth the hassle and expense. The guide includes tips on how to pack, where to eat and how to keep kids entertained. My favorite section is the website references. Definitely check out The Bathroom Diaries to map out where the cleanest and safest bathrooms are on your route.

Well you thought wrong. Delta will now impose a fuel surcharge fee on all frequent flyer award redemptions. This new few will go into affect for award travel booked after August 15th. The fee is $25 for travel between the 50 states and Canada and $50 for international travel. Here are the Delta Award Travel Fuel Surcharge details.

If you have been waiting to book your award travel, I would suggest you book before the fee goes into affect.

Attention Passengers: Please take out your wallets and get ready to pay up!

With the summer travel season getting started American Airlines has announced new fees for checking in baggage. Now you will have to pay to check in any baggage. The fee for the first bag is $15 and for the second bag it is $25. The fees are waived for international travel as well as for passengers flying in business or first class.

Now don’t get any bright ideas such as not checking in baggage and attempting to take your items as carry on. American Airlines is raising fees but DECREASING available seats. So planes will be packed and you will be lucky to find a place to sit let alone a place to put your carry on.

Here’s the full info on all the changes at American Airlines.
